Persona is an ongoing A/V exploration by Katrine Bregnum and Baris Pekcagliyan. Inspired by Jungian concepts, Persona observes identity on the face and the movement. Whoever looks into themselves risks a confrontation with themselves. Persona researches for the self behind the mirrors, namely the face hidden to the world, covered with personas, masks of the actor. Persona observes these masks and melts them into each other, questions who are the voices in our minds, and who is the witness. It wanders around the edges of physical and digital, takes the least used paths in the forest, and explores itself on the road.
Persona expresses itself as an A/V performance and installations by Katrine Bregnum’s sound and Baris
Pekcagliyan’s visuals. Uses photographs and videos taken from the physical world by Barış Pekçağlıyan and re-creates itself every time by adding the element of generative art.
